We’re presenting «University Bing Overseas Studies Program», for Stanford Undergrad Students immersion in Madrid, led by Prof. Almendra Staffa-Healey, Pedro Pérez-Leal, Stanford Director in Madrid and Claudia Sánchez, Academic Coordinator. This is an opportunity to explore potential internships or volunteer candidates, who are enrolled in the course OSPMADRD-60 Internship Seminar: Experiential Learning through Service and Professional Opportunities.

“Inteligencia Artificial, LLMs, tendencias y retos de la IA Generativa”, by Elena Gonzalez Blanco

In light of the news regarding the development of ALIA (LLM in Spanish) by the Government of Spain, we are inviting Elena González Blanco, Head of AI for EMEA Digital Natives at Microsoft, to engage in an in-person discussion. This will extend the debate initiated in our on-line chat forum about this development and the current state of generative AI, from a scientific perspective. We will highlight why this moment is pivotal for its development and the emerging trends in large language models (LLMs).

“El papel de la sociedad civil en la democracia”, by Miriam Gonzalez Durántez.

Miriam Gonzalez Durántez is founder of España Mejor, a nonprofit Association committed to driving social change and effective public policy in Spain. It advocates impactful policies, initiates social projects, and fosters dialogue among diverse stakeholders. Valuing academic expertise and maintaining independence from political parties, it emphasizes collaboration and innovation to address pressing social issues and create meaningful change. On this ocassion, Miriam Gonzalez will share her overall experience and feature the organization’s latest projects.
